Vegas Shows In 2019
LAS VEGAS SHOWS ARE STARTING TO OPEN
Seeing a good show is one of the best things about being in Las Vegas and hopefully, most productions and concerts will return to full schedules at some point in 2021. The coronavirus pandemic initially prompted a full entertainment shut down, but a few productions have slowly reopened with restrictions in place. Private gatherings are currently limited to 250 people or less with exemptions that can potentially allow attendance of 10-percent capacity in large venues, which is good news for the prospect of trade shows in Las Vegas. Comedy clubs are also opening their doors for performances by national acts. Despite the vaccine rollout, COVID-19 statistics continue to be alarming and public restrictions can be revised at any given time. Tickets are currently on sale for new 2021 residencies by Sting, Usher, Morrisey, and the Scorpions, but if you’re eager to attend, be flexible with your plans and consider those dates tentative. Refunds will be issued for any officially canceled performances. When Vegas fully returns to its old self, the Strip will be eager to welcome back Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Cher, Shania Twain, Rod Stewart, and many others as top resident headliners.

I talked about the best comedians to see in Las Vegas in a previous article, and frankly, there’ssomething impressive about a performer so sure of themselves that they can step out onto a stage alone and then proceed to hold the interest (and captivate the audience) for 90 minutes.
I find that a bit awe-inspiring, mostly because I can’t even talk to a waiter in a restaurant without his or her attention drifting off mid-order.
But sole performers are one thing. Big, fat productions are another kettle of puppies entirely. This is where spectacle meets glamour, and music, dancing, and yes, acro-freakin’-batics steal theshow. Well, it actually is the show.
And diversity is king in Vegas shows.
They’re funny, shocking, breath-taking, and thought-provoking — usually all at the same time. To thoroughly enjoy a Vegas production, you really need to be a multitasker. Or if you’re like me,you need to see the show several times to really “get it.”
